Frosted Snowflake

Found this soap on Etsy and I like the name and then the description of plum and sweet oranges sounds really yummy. South Pacific Body Shop has some really fun things go check them out.

Sorry I haven't been around. Busy weekend and now two sick boys.

*I am thankful that I took them to the Dr. and that they will be on the road to recovery by Thanksgiving.

*I am sad that I have no days this week to do the things I need to do for Thursday without at least one of the boys around. ( I love them but really is one day asking too much)

* I am Thankful Thanksgiving is not at my house this year.

* I am thankful for the rain we need it so badly.

* I am thankful for my family

* I am thankful ...... just thankful

Cold and Wet

We had a Court of Honor and Pancake breakfast this morning. It was cold and wet but we had lots of fun. It is in the low to mid 50's and windy, but there was a nice fire going and we had lots of Hot Chocolate to keep us warm. Chase was elected to be the scribe for the troop and got his 2nd class. We are really proud of him.

On The Road Again

I am on the road to see my little sister graduate from Paramedic school. According to the sign below there are still a few Zombies out from Halloween that I need to be on the look out for.

I'll be back before you know it.

Owls

Ornaments are a Thanksgiving tradition in our family. Usually they are part of the table decor and each person gets one to take home. I found these at this Etsy shop and thought they would be great for our family this year. To bad Thanksgiving isn't at my house this year. I may just have to buy them and save them for another time, but that would require several things first I would have to remember that I bought them and then I would have to remember where I put them.

Dump Trucks make me smile

You know how you can smell something and it will take you back to another place and time? Well dump trucks will do that for me. When I was growing up I spent a lot of time with my grandparents. My grandfather was a general contractor.He built beautiful homes and my Grandmother decorated them. I spent many happy hours in houses that were being built. I still love the smell of fresh cut wood, dry wall, paint ... it all reminds me of Grandpa. I don't think I was more than about four when Grandpa brought home his new dump truck with a red cab. I loved that truck. I love to ride in it. I love to get into the back of it, I loved the way it smelled everything about it was just fun. I spent many hours playing in the back of it pretending I was somewhere else. I would even dance in the bed of the truck it had a great sound it to! As I got older I worked side by side with my Grandpa many times it was loading or unloading the truck. I think the worse thing I ever had to do was help him unload cinder blocks. We always worked hard he taught me by example the value of hard work. He also like to have fun we spend a lot of time together on the lake fishing. I loved to be with him didn't matter if it was work or play. The pay was always great and usually involved fishing after we were done.
I passed a Dump truck today and I smiled.
