I found this at the BHG website. This would be so cute to use as table decorations for a party and then send home as a favor. I think these would be cute to use in the spring and make them look like funny bugs.
Do you have a good recipe for popcorn balls? I would love to have it.

Here's the recipe Mother always used.
1 cup molasses
1`cup sugar
1/3 cup water
1 tsp vinegar
3 tsp butter
4 quarts pop corn
Combine molasses, sugar, water and vinegar cook with continuous stirring.
LOL you know candy making takes some skill and the recipe doesn't really fill in all the details. I think the temperature you want is 258 degrees F or the hard ball stage. Some candy makers aren't much for stirring, but clearly Mother thought it necessary. She used a wooden spoon.
We loved pop corn balls as kids.
Those aren't grandma's popcorn balls :)

Cute treat! I'm glad you stopped by my food blog and I'm so happy to find you. There is a caramel popcorn ball recipe on my blog, but it's listed as "Halloween Owls" (since we used the popcorn balls to make little owls). I'll be stopping by again!
Thanks for stopping by my SAUCY blog! It was nice to come over and read your blog. While I don't have a popcorn ball recipe, I agree--that would make a super cute table piece.
What about rice krispy treats, but instead of a square, make it into a ball?
